Inspirational Novel Editing
Tammy provides the following novel-editing assistance:

Proofread (may be provided by Tammy's assistant)
This is intended for a manuscript that has been edited, critiqued, or very well written, and is ready to be submitted to a literary agent or publisher. A final proofread will catch errors in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, basic grammar (subject-verb agreement), spacing, and other mistakes at the sentence level. It will also provide consistency in spelling (traveled or travelled), capitalizations (Miss or miss), hyphens or dashes (- or —), abbreviations (Dr., Doctor, or doctor), numbers (125 or one hundred twenty-five), as well as verify consistency of format throughout. These corrections will be implemented for you. No alterations to your story will be made.

A copyedit adds industry-standard professionalism to a well-written manuscript. It is best used to help you complete your final rewrites. If the meaning of a sentence is unclear, or if a section would benefit from different paragraph breaks, Tammy will make recommendations. Word or phrase repetitions will be pointed out. She will suggest rephrasing for smoothness, transitions, simplifying, and tightening; implement what you will, in your personal writing style.

Content Edit
This focuses on your story. You may choose a content edit at any point in your writing process after your first full draft is completed. For beginning writers this is a powerful teaching tool that can save you months, possibly years, of learning technique the hard way. For all levels of writers, a content edit will specifically address: hook, character development, character empathy, dialogue, tags, beats, plot, subplot(s), theme, pacing, tension, voice, point of view, setting, the five senses, passive writing, showing vs. telling, climax, denouement, and other, genre-specific elements. Tammy will share commentary, suggestions, and recommendations; implement what you will, in your personal writing style. Tammy provides a complimentary sample content edit in order to estimate the project fee and the length of time it should take to complete the edit.
